About

Toby

Hi everyone! I’m Toby Salahuddin and welcome to my blog At Home With Toby. In this blog I aim to highlight life and real estate in Montgomery County, Maryland. Originally born in the Midwest, I longed for the life of a more metropolitan lifestyle. After attending college in Washington, D.C. and living in Los Angeles for a few years, my husband and I decided to move back to Montgomery County, to raise our kids in one of the best places to live in the nation.

After receiving my Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, I spent nearly a decade teaching mathematics at high schools in both Lower and Upper Montgomery County, as well as Montgomery College. An aspiring philanthropist,  I’m also active in many local charitable organizations, including Manna Food Center, Becky’s Fund, and Interfaith Works.

Having called the DC-area home since the mid-1990s, my knowledge of the region – particularly in the areas of Potomac, Bethesda, Rockville and North Potomac – is expansive.  My unique professional background has given me an intimate knowledge of the region that is unrivaled, even by area natives. I have been a local small business owner, an active community volunteer, and have raised three kids in Montgomery County Public Schools.

These varied experiences have given me a comprehensive and nuanced perspective on what it means to make a house a home in Maryland, down to the school district and neighborhood level.  As a REALTOR I bring my attentive and nurturing nature into my real estate career by providing personalized communication to my clients, offering tools to help buyers and sellers through their process, and employing a unique family approach to ensure my clients are satisfied. I am committed to listening and learning about my client’s needs, desires and priorities, analyzing the real estate market to achieve maximum value for my buyers and sellers, and using social media to promote and market properties.

Whether you are in the market to buy or sell, I will work tirelessly to ensure my clients reach their housing goals. I look forward to working with you soon!
